Isnt the childhood friend literally her 2nd cousin since their moms are first cousin? I thought he was never considered a potential ml, did others think otherwise?
I mean, just look at the mom rooting for them both lol. In their era cousins can get married, it's unconventional maybe, but not unheard of. Even if the both of them don't hold feelings for each other that way, mom is pushing them together so he's probably still in the race.
Blue Eyes has to step up somehow cause the childhood friend & the crown prince especially, are in the lead for me.
