I personally love the realness with the hung body. It’s called tongue protrusion and it happens in hanging, drowning, burning, and strangulation (due to asphyxiation). It’s caused by the compression of neck tissue and cells which causing the tongue, a long organ, to essentially pop out. Very sad a kid so young killed himself in the book, but amazing showcase of his hanged body.
