?? when was she grateful to him? she treated him as her abductor until they got to that village together, and she was still uneasy and distrustful of him. she only realized she got treated well by this world's standards until she got captured by the slave traders.
1- he did stated he won't let her go back to her world + lied in her face cuz he need her ! So yeah his an abductor who locked her natural right of freedom .
2-she saved him he saved her so it's 50/50 gratitude shit
3- true she realized he was good to her with ( food and shatter ) after meeting some assholes , but thinking "oh I should be grateful " even tho his intentions are not pure and mixed with direct benifts (which is saving his life guiding ) is just wrong
she knew he wouldn't let her go back to her world, that's why she's trying to find a replacement guide so she could go back. she saved him bc she doesn't want/like looking at people dying before her, idk what's so grateful about that. and yea when ur literally being sold as merchandise ur gonna look back fondly at when u were fed 3 meals a day and kept clean. i'm just saying she's still acting within reason and the story is still bearable to keep up with
