Umm so, does the boy really the father mistresses?

I kinda think it’s implied that the boy is the father’s mistress or maybe muse?
This might be a stretch but what if the father found, helped or raise the mc bc the boy refers to the father as “teacher.” In some cases it’s usually bc the person raised, taught and or is seen as parental/higher/teaching figures
