....the relationship of Dr.Seok and Major Kwak in the "rainbow city" novel is all I've ever wanted in life. (the manhwa of rainbow city isn't there yet) but dude...I have never been so jealous of a fictional couple in my entire life. they start off not liking each other and at the end of the novel, after everything they've been through...they're inseparable to the point that they both keep a pistol with a single bullet on them in case one of them dies.
The lines in the novel IS SO SO SO POETIC. In the side stories it shows their relationship after all the conflict is over AND ITS SO SO ADORABLE. Look at this quote:
"In my closed world, my mother loved me very much. Dr. Oh Yang-seok sympathized with me and invited me to his house sometimes, and there was also a motive for knocking on my door at the learning center.
However, the world I had locked myself in never opened. After my mother passed away, I gave up and lived, thinking that there would be no one who would understand me.
However, Kwak Su-hwan changed me. He was the kind of person who would force open a door and smash it.
And I may have waited for such a person for a long time."
I cannot get enough of the novel, I cannot get enough of both of them. The dynamic between them is so complex yet so deep at the same time I WANNA CRYYYY
