He didn’t feel any guilt, and put his brother in another situation, where he cried out for help, and he again refused to help, walking out of site so his brother thought he abandoned him again, and he watched as monsters attacked his bother as he waited for his brother to fight back.
I think when they were younger he was just a shitty older brother. But now after his time with the wolves, he values family and pack so much more, but he understands that the weak get killed off, used to the wild animal way of thinking, so he brought his brother out into the wilderness and forced him into a position to fight back, the mc is big on not losing people again, so he needed his brother to be strong enough to be able to fight his own battles, and his skill can tell how far people are from reaching their true strength and potential. So although he had his reasons, it was a horrible scene and his brother defo snapped.
But he relatively quickly forgave him, he(the brother) lost his mind for a bit then got better and now the brothers are cool, he’s one of his team, and the brother likes having his brothers back. His character does fade into the back for a while tho, his son or the story of their past took a lot more screen time than him, but it’s always nice to see them and their overall dynamic.
But I get it, that scene made me sad too and dislike the mc, but the mcs come a bit of a ways for spending 1000 years just interacting with wild animals. But I like his wild edges still lol
How's the relationship with his brother going? I stopped reading years ago after the chapter when mc ignored his brother's ask for help when he's bullied. I hoped his brother wouldn't forgive him and let the mc carry the guilts until the end of the time.
