Apparently the book in question was just fan fiction that the author wrote that’s why a lot of what Philomel read that “should” have happened isn’t matching up.

The thing is, the 'story' that they're livin'g in is a fanfic written by an angry reader who hated philomel and wanted her to suffer. In the original, the father wasn't a douchebag. He loved both of his daughters and had to very reluctantly let philomel go to her bio father. And the author who wrote the fanfic is the one in the blonde's body. Of course she'll mischaracterize her

In original story.. phil wasnt miserable to begin with.. she actually living happily with her bio dad n brothers... And that fanfic author hate for such ending.. so she created a fanfic making the fandom like the fanfic more than original story
The book that phil have it since a child is from her future.. her future dropped it the fanfic book. So she can escape the fanfic author troupe i guest(?) idk
