Bro the more I think about it the more pissed off I get, went back and reread it, after zen getting drunk with futami ryou calls from jealousy or whatever, zen tells him the stuff he talked about with futami and is honest with him, also shows his care telling him not to overdo it at work and worrying about how ryou is doing all the trip planning, all moments showing his feelings and yet it’s treated as if he’s not showing feelings just cause he didn’t end the call with “I wanna see you too”???
And then what ryou did WAS stupid and he was getting rightfully scolded for coming over to zen’s house with no warning with no idea when zen will get home all while it’s raining, like ye he’s being rightfully harsh and scolding you for being reckless with your health, that itself is another moment of showing his care and you take “you shouldn’t come in these circumstances just to see me” as if he doesn’t love you?? LIEK HES RIGHT YOU SHOULDNT DO THAT JUST TO SEE HIM, RISKING YOUR HEALTH BEFORE A PLANNED TRIP “JUST TO SEE HIM” IS STUPID, and getting defensive over him telling you not to overwork???
And then the next day from ryou’s thoughts saying “but why did you lie about being with futami” I’m sorry bro but he didn’t lie about being with futami, he said he’s busy and can’t come over that day, at most he lied about being at work vs not at work, he didn’t say shit about being with or without futami and considering futami was irrelevant in their relationship outside him being a threat in ryou’s mind that zen didn’t even KNOW about how there might possibly be jealousy in ryou over futami, not telling him he’s with futami isn’t some break of trust or smth, what’s next? he has to report which coworker he rode an elevator with too? With no prior knowledge of ryou’s concerns? So in reality the lie was about being at work vs at a shop which if ryou was clearheaded he could guess why (gift before bd trip), but his jealousy over futami distorted the situation and made him put zen to the test…
