At first I didn't dislike him that much, but it's annoying when he pays attention to Phil acting like a proper father instead of apologizing for never being one first. Is he about to apologize for what happened when Phil was young? Was he gonna apologize about the time he purposely neglected Phil or maybe it's about the words he said at that time?
Either way, how belated that would be. I can understand why Phil feels so off when she receives attention from the person who she gave up receiving fatherly love from. Now this is a realistic reaction. I couldn't understand why mc's in other stories start to be moved by such attention given by their parents who neglected/abused them once upon a time. It's a mystery why they can easily forgive and forget as if they weren't traumatized. Example is DAUGHTER OF THE EMPEROR, don't get me wrong I liked the story, but I can't help but remember Ria/mc in that story forgave the father who strangled her as a baby.
