I don't understand why you don't see it, they're calling the black guy a slave. This is what the summary said
this cold King takes this slave of fire into his arms with such passion, they both start dripping in sweat...
Talking about slavery and having the black MC a slave for the prince sounds very racist to me, they could've said servant not slave, but this author decided calling it slave would be a good idea. The word slave and slavery is a word that's very uncomfortable for many people, I can understand the backlash this manga gets.
He's not black. He's tanned, he's literally from the nation of fire. And what backlash? Its just a just a bunch of wanna be white knights kids, ignoring actual real world issue. Stupidly, screaming for literature censorship
An actual African black man coming here "I'm not offended," a raging white kid that learned the word problematic 3 months ago, comes here "here's why you should be offended, we're mad for YOUR sake."
Even if he's tan, I still find it racist that the prince guy is calling him his slave. I'm talking about the summary, where I find the racism in. He may not be fully black, but he's still dark skinned, which is why him calling the guy his slave sounds racist to me. I am talking about the backlash that this manga gets since it sounds very racist in the summary, I wouldn't have a problem with this manga if the author would've said servant instead of slave.
I didn’t say only black people have dark skin, nowhere in my comment did I said that. The reason why I thought this was racist was because the guy had dark skin and it was said he was a slave of a prince, the summary made me think it seemed racist. I wasn’t trying to start an argument with anyone, I was only trying to explain why I thought this manga seemed racist because of the summary.
And second of all, I didn't say all slaves were dark skinned. Can you not amuse I'm some kind of person who thinks crap like this? I only looked at the cover and read the summary, I didn't mean to call the guy black. I meant to say dark skinned guy, and of course I know that there are many people out there who have dark skin that aren't black. If some people don't see this manga as racist then alright but don't go attack anyone who thinks it is, this is one big misunderstanding here. I didn't mean to make it seem like I'm trying to start an argument, I just didn't understand why they didn't find it racist.
Well it's easy of course, the reason why they didn't because just because he's tanned and a slave doesn't make the whole manga actually racist, if this was racist, they would have gone extreme measures like making the mc hideous and all the slaves would have been dark skinned but they didn't, there was literally a white skinned slave, and if you were to just judge the cover instead of actually reading and yapping how racist this is, actually read it and compare it to a real racist manga, and don't worry I'm not attacking you I'm explaining you my opinion because right now this is far from racist, thank you
I don't get it, I'm half african and this is barely racist to me, y'all just dramatic at this pointᕙ(⇀‸↼‶)ᕗ
