I don’t know about that. He’s literally a character in a romance manga lol. The whole point of the story is the two of them slowly falling for one another. And even if he was supposed to be aroace, he’d be a pretty crappy representation of it.

Aroace doesn't always mean you can't have romantic/sexual feelings for someone. It usually means little to none. And in this case I'd say Hirano is more on the Aroace spectrum. It's very implied at least.
