We don't know, it's the guy who regressed that knows. Something horrible happened apparently in the first timeline that turned Jyo/Jio against humanity. I'm sure it has something to do with her family since she's full protective of them as we have seen. Until the guy tells us, or we learn as the story unfolds, but Kiddo is giving weird vibes. Not sure how he just knows she's who she is, unless it's a perk of the "Director" title.
