agree !! ik mc probably subconsciously recognized blondie and that's why he feels so comfy with him and his love, but it wldve been interesting to see mc more distrustful initially, esp considering he's had very few allies during his enslavement and cld have had ppl previously try to take advantage of his memory loss
right!! imo the ml's easy acceptance and adaptability to the mc's amnesia should've spelled red flags. like if i was him i'd think whyyyyy are you so keen on making me feel comfortable and remembering stuff for me. so we were together according to everyone around, cool, but the brain is so malleable, it can take any bit of info you give me and rationalize it into memories, so how can i know for sure that you're being truthful? you can be my lover AND still lie to me. why should i trust you? muscle memory aint enough i need to see the mc exhibit survival instincts developed from being a slave and losing memories.
like i was so disappointed when the green eyed dude just turned out to be an asshole arthur was also a bully but he had a sense of justice (however misinformed), was dutiful to his people, brave, a natural leader, etc. what does greenie have??? NOTHING.
