It's tender and doesn't taste fishy at all. Usually has a sweet eel sauce on it which is really good. I lived in Japan for two years and that was actually my first "fish" that I liked because I was so picky back then. Really yummy in sushi
I had it by accident on sushi, and it was not at all what I what expecting. It was sweet, soft and flaky. I thought it would be rubbery and fishy. I definately would not have tried it if I had known what it was but I'm happy that I did.
