Valid points, I was never that mature at 23 either. But for me it's more the comparison between the two. Like the teacher clearly acts more like an adult than the friend, and the friend acts very much like a child compared to the adult. I personally wouldn't be able to reconcile that dissonance but since they're both of legal age I guess it's ok. Like I said, tis my own problem to bear.

He went coma in around 17-18, and recovered in around 20, so his mental literally is around those ages. And you really think 22 will act like an adult? bc in my environment, even ppl over 30 will act like a kid when they’re around ppl who they feel comfortable. In this manga nothing is weird, but only Yamato didn’t check his loved one condition like he still alive or he died or something like that.
Nah the problem is not his legal age, it's his "mental age" that's creeping me out. Yeah sure, he may be 23yo but the way he thinks, acts, and does things are like a highschooler. If I were teach, I probably wouldn't be able to view him as an adult because it would feel like I'm doing something immoral. Think adults with brain development issues and have the mental capacity of a 10yo. Can you see yourself dating such an adult without feeling something's wrong?
