It feels like passive aggressive disrespect. The staff usually refer to the owner by their title or my lady, etc right? They even referred to the previous owner as Lady Palace while announcing her arrival. I bet they are thinking along the lines of their prestige was dirtied by changing their employer to someone of a “lowly” status ┑(￣Д ￣)┍
What is a Miss Lady supposed to be? That phrase irritated me throughout the whole chapter.
