I don't want to be that person but people also point out how problematic rape is in yaoi. You are conflating two different groups of ppl, the ppl complaining about it here are still gonna complain about it in Yaoi.
Unfortunately I looked at some of their watch list and a lot of them have rape filled Yaoi. Then ofc some of them tried defending it when I pointed it out and some said "well at least it's not misogynist". Almost every person I've come across on this site that complains about problematic relationships in straight romance always end up being a fan of Yaoi stories. This is from literal years of experience on both this and older sites and communities.
It's always like this when it comes to trashy straight smut and then people start comparing it to yaoi when the yaoi they read is just as if not more problematic. Tbh I'm thinking it's internalized homophobia at this point considering people see straight smuts like this and immediately point out the problematic nature but then turn around amd think it's okay if it's gay.
