I don’t understand why the Lee family hates and blames Lee Sangmin for his father’s infidelity, especially when his dad calls him a bastard. Sangmin was just a child when he came to the Lee family, and he was innocent in that situation. I know he has done many bad things—unforgivable sins, to be exact—but that was because he grew up without anyone to support him. Jinhyun also FAILED him as a friend.
Lee Hyemi is different; she has her older brother and love from her family, while Sangmin had only his mom, who died when he was very young. Sangmin suffered so much that even when he wanted to give up, the deity woman wouldn’t let him. He was alone until the end.
I know many might disagree and say not everyone grows up like Sangmin, but he didn’t have anyone to help him during those tough times. The MC portrays him as evil throughout the story even after seeing his situation at the end. I think the author could have let Jinhyun help Sangmin escape his misery before things became too complicated.
