soft and sweet easy read with nice smut ^-^

as my comment title says, this is soft and sweet; a touch bittersweet really but in a..gentle way? i guess? plus the smut is both sexy and intimate, with an excellent seme as well! oh, and great friend side characters! it's really a very nice, light, comfortable read; just enough angst to make the happy end feel satisfying ^-^

i do understand some people feeling it was lacking, or even one-dimensional, however i suppose i didn't really feel that way because a simple and/or somewhat cliché premise doesn't necessarily mean lacking. knowing how something (might) turn out doesn't have to make the experience to get there any less enjoyable. plus, personally, i also believe connectionless sex first (which is arguable really, as the attraction and interest for more was there pretty immediately; definitely from makino's side to be sure) doesn't mean lack of character/potential relationship development nor only interest in pleasure. it's just another way to build a connection; for some it can work, for others not so much.

of course, in the end it's really about preference too, and these are merely my own thoughts. still, overall i felt it deserved a bit of a higher rating! if anything just for the great seme, which so many people seem to clamor for elsewhere.

OH! side note: while i totally get people saying they should have just moved out anyway due to their relationship possibly clashing with the more communal atmosphere of a singles dorm, it would draw attention for two 'single' men, already living in a dorm for such people, to then move out to what would be a more expensive alternative while also choosing to room together (why leave the cheaper dorms just to then have a roommate while paying more on top of it?). they'd have to inform their company of the change in address (one which they would share); plus, depending on how they went about it and where they live (like small vs. large city), some places can be picky on who they'll rent to (e.g. no gay couples). if this story didn't start with them living in a singles dorm then this would all be a different story, but it did, so that's gonna change things somewhat :P
