A little slow I'll say but I do think the MC needs actual practice. Not in the field but technical, he keeps being put in danger and doesn't have time to actually grasp his development which resets his progress.
I think the author might be rushed to get the story into action due to many main stream stories but I think if they take a step back to slow down and focus on development this story could go a long way.
I'm excited for more! Hopefully the story gets more character lore than just fighting and injury all the time.
