I get this and I feel like ppl definitely would’ve been kinder but at the same time she’s still talking to one adult that grew up in an orphanage and another adult who was left to care for a village by his dead mother with an MIA father. Both abnormal situations off rip. Like she’s not the only girl at the function who’s abnormal. In the clurb we all fam!

so mi-ok ha a lot of anxiety around being perceived as abnormal and that's why she wanted to find the chief a girlfriend? obv she's a deeply troubled girl but I feel like the odd phrasing didn't help her case
