Right now he's a ust a legal guardian to him, but they've only been like this for a few months now I believe? Not nearly long enough to form a familial bond. And we can see from this chapter the kid is the one catching feelings, adult doesn't look to have any attraction to him at the moment. I'm hoping we get a timeskip before he does, because if starts liking him as a high schooler that'd be weird as fuck
