I'm confused. Are you shocked that their father is bathing in a bath house with his children while naked? That's a very normal thing to do, just like having a stranger watch your children while you are showering right behind them. If the stranger happened to want to do something, the children would scream, and the father would intervene right away.
What he did in the second chapter I can't defend, though. I guess you could say that because he was able to rely on Tarouemon the previous day, and because he really needed to go to the job interview, he took the risk. Which in the end worked out well cause he now has a wife who is a great cook~

Yeah I guess it's also part of the Japanese culture to rely on strangers. For example there are a lot of manga stories where someone takes a drunk stranger in for the night.
He explained it before that he trust Taro with his kid because he doesn't feels like a bad man. He said it would be a different story if it was anybody else.
