no its not a flaw in his character it makes perfectly sense. Its mentioned multiple times how crazy important guts is to him to the point of even distracting him from his dream. When guts left him he was really hurt and mad and probably thought on an impulse that he had to throw himself into completing his plan asap and acted to haste (he also didn’t knew about the weird ass relationship the king had to the princess)
I'm a new reader and I can't wrap my head around the reason, if there is any, as to why griffith slept with the princess? Was there any motive behind? I'm sure that he didn't harbor any feelings for the princess and i dont see the worth of his actions. It only resulted in him being severely tortured for a year (?) and amounted to his mental derangement (?)
