It's interesting because even the chapter is shorter, and her story development wasn't that good. It's like the author baited us and wanted to make it interesting or he/she was told to go through another, not so thought out plan.
I blame the author for the girl's absurd reasoning, could they not have come up with something so... Disconnected? Is it a translation problem?! Cause them being in a gay relationship and her being neglected has no freaking connection! I even defended her in the last chapter! It's literally nonsense!
