I feel like the author is just using her to possibly cast doubt within their relationship cus anything other than that ain’t adding up.
I get that.... but I doubt the author realized how badly this would come across. Something as cliche as, "you need a kid to inherit your land" would have been infinitely better than this
I try to keep in mind that asian culture is about conformity and that in Korea it is very important not to stand out, so I get that she feels very strongly about it, and does have a valid point. I think this is what the author was trying to highlight here.
But at the same time, Mi-Ok gurl, go to therapy or something instead of making this whole drama about yourself

I haven't seen a collective rage like this in a long time and I agree with it. The author dropped the ball here. Instead of setting up character growth and an opportunity for conversation, Mi-Ok just seems dumb. I get that it's not supposed to be that she has an issue with homosexuality, but fears being different. I get that. The problem is, that is the root of all nonsense we deal with. If she set up dating profiles for Beom because his "girlfriend" wasn't Korean, she would be called racist (prejudice). So yeah. She's an idiot. I haven't felt this salty buying a chapter in a long while but I'm more bothered the author thought this was a good idea.
