good thing u dropped it cuz there's no clear redemption arc or groveling in the novel
I don't even wanna call it redemption arc. They just all deserved to die. MC should've left from the beginning when he saw those black flags.
well there is only one character the author actually "redeems". spoilers:
the rest dies. one boy was irredeemably evil, the next was sympathetic to some degree but still irredeemably evil, the third despite claiming he likes mc had chances when he could've redeemed himself, or at least put mc above his childish selfishness, but didn't, the last one (the true ml) actually shows how much he cares for mc altho he wont admit it until the very end and "redeems" himself thru scattered actions across the story.
F*** I stop reading the novel when I read how they gang r*pe our MC and left him in the carpet like a piece of trash huhuhu I was so angry at that time that I want to help the MC kill those fourrr. The redemption arc is not even satisfying coz they went and hunt him after many years past. Ugh!!!!
