I’m glad they’re appreciated! The official translated title is Catherine’s Key to a Happy Life and the unofficial one is Rejected Lady Enjoying a Modest Life (or something similar). I’m afraid I can’t help you much in locating the novel online. I’m reading the official Tap@s translation on the app because I couldn’t find another translation and like the writing too much to even consider MTL. If you’re just looking for end-game spoilers, I recommend searching up the title and “spoilers”, you’ll probably find a discussion forum where someone has posted about the ending, I haven’t gone looking myself though. This translation is ongoing and I have no idea what happens beyond the next arc. I’m sorry I couldn’t be of more help
Hello again and thanks for your quick response to my questions. I agree with you on the MTLs! This is my favorite manhwa and I love the “human” translation and dialogue too much to consider a “trash” MTL that doesn’t make sense. (We’ve all read those, too, in the hopes we could salvage some kind of storyline.) For Catherine’s Key, I’m hooked on everything: the art work, dialogue, character chemistry and development, and plot twists and turns. I was hoping a novel would provide additional details or insights into each of the characters. IMO, the love story between Catherine and Cesare is just too good to ruin it by searching for spoilers on the internet. I’ll just patiently wait for the story to unfold organically and naturally with the timed releases of each chapter. As Willy Wonka once said “The suspense is killing me. What?? They totally skipped over the entire first duel?? She’s not supposed to encounter Carl until just before the conference begins, several days later and after significant improvement in her relationship with Chezare. Like, I’m not entirely sure how significant the first duel is in the long run given how silly it is, but it’s a pretty detailed event that features development in her connection with Giovanni and a blatant display of jealousy on Chezare’s part despite the fact that he was still acting cold at this point. Also Percival. Anyway, have some spoilers:

In the novel, Catherine challenges an “air-headed” imperial knight to a duel for smack talking Damian (he has no say, being unconscious when this happen). Chezare, who is still acting “cold” towards her, happens upon them at this point and agrees to be a witness. She uses it as a chance to get a day of his time if she wins. Giovanni and Chezare both show up to watch the duel. Catherine wins using her new powers, but Percival shows up and decides he wants to fight her too, which she agrees to for some reason?? Like the bastard he is, Percival breaks her shield and goes in for a kiss that Damian blocks (because he’s a prude, Catherine doesn’t care so long as there’s no tongue). Her argument with Damian gets interrupted when they realize Percival has been blown back and has now been blasted against a wall, by Chezare, unable to breathe. He’s only spared because the pope’s arrival is announced (unfortunately). Between this duel and the one with Charles, several events occur and theg have a few more encounters, including a long dream, and Catherine grows used to Chezare’s presence. She eventually confronts him about the fact that he could have just used his words to distance her. She admits she doesn’t mind him being “rough” though. I’m not sure how much they’ll change but Chezare actually isn’t supposed to be involved in the Carl incident at all until he finds out and arrives only after the duel for Catherine’s honour is over—she doesn’t want him to know about her past love life. She trusts Giovanni and Halphas to help her instead. It’s also a much bigger deal with a huge audience. Again, I don’t know what they’ll change but the vibes were just different.

I will note that, while this arc is translated, the novel isn’t. I haven’t looked for a spoiler forum because I’m reading it as I go. I have no idea when the romance starts for real because Chezare keeps implying he’s been pining for her for like 600 years and she’s still not convinced he likes her like “that” nor does she realize why Giovanni is willing to do her so many favours. Maybe this is what happens when your only romantic experiences include a cheating arsehole and Percival.
