I'm not a fan of the art style. Something about it just looks off and it's not just because there is no colour distinction between the scelera of the eyes and the flesh or that. the characters are missing their pupils. I can't place my finger on it but something looks weird with how the characters are drawn. Despite that it is a really good story that makes you forget from time to how how horrible the people are drawn. It starts out slow but once you start to see the past unfold, you immediately gain sympathy for the original Siwon and you kind of wish he had gotten a second chance to live so he could have learn how to be be braver. I just found this manga and read everything in one go. The next chapter can't come soon enough.

No but if someone wants to criticize my art and say things like you should do this instead of that I expect them to know what they are talking about because I'm not a self educated fan artist I'm a professional... @Anonymous

They're not pretending to be art experts , they're giving their opinions as readers. You have to look at things from both sides, not just from professionals alone. I'm a writer and if someone says to me that the ending I wrote is rushed or they don't like how wordy my writing style is , I'll be a bit upset, but I won't tell them: "you don't know what you're talking about. You can't even manage to write a proper essay in your middle school class! You're not even my teacher! " That way I won't get any readers to enjoy my work. If someone says the art style feels awkward, they should be able to say so without someone else lashing out at them for not being knowledgeable enough about the subject.

I never said you can't criticize, I said I wouldn't take you seriously because you don't really know what you're talking about. @Anonymous

than actual experts." --taken directly from your "i'm a professional" speech. You can leave now.

Indeed, no one has to take my opinion seriously but your posts were implying you were.

I agree, there are times when non-expert opinions should be disregarded but to imply that only expert opinion matters could leave you blinded faults of your own work and hinder improvement or even sales.

Like if a musician intentionally plays part of a song a half beat off. The music might be written that way but to the everyday consumer, it could sound like no one corrected the musician and just make the song jarring to listen to. That same half a beat can possibly change a song from a pop hit to something alternative and esoteric. While I'm not so cynical to think it's all about the money the world doesn't run on free so when your work is drastically different from what is out there, it's a risk. It can be the difference between having to find a new job and getting a renewed contract.

Of all the mangas I've seen, this one looks the most different. There's a webtoon I haven't seen but I'll check out in the future. So I'm guessing there are a lot of fans but I highly doubt I'm the first person to think the characters look weird and while it wasn't enough to turn me away, it probably did a few other people.

And now I think I've essentiall said all I needed to say.

Yes, I don't mind the eye color, just their position in their faces and the mouths sometimes.

By no means I'm not a starving artist or someone who can't take criticism. Only thing that bothered me was the way you criticize it. I'm sorry but the way you criticize makes you sound like you are an expert and you a sound a little bit arrogant because of it. I personally know someone who has anxiety and actually stopped drawing because of a constrictive criticism made by a non-expert so sorry if I sounded rude since I actually know how destructive even a constrictive criticism can be.
And I'm also aware of proportional differences and lack of shading in this web-comic but at the same time publishing a fully coloured manhwa in a week is pretty impressive so if I wanted to make a constrictive criticism I'd want to look at this artists other artwork before you know ones who were made in not so limited amount of time.
To conclude this argument I'd like to add if you really want to make constructive instead of posting this to an illegal manga site you can always go to Lezhin and send your comment to artist since unlike their Japanese equivalents Koreans are pretty good with English and you can actually get some feedback from artist.
Well this is my last post so... Bye! (●'◡'●)ノ

Thank you it's always interesting to have the point of view of an expert and like I said I appreciate all the devotion and hard work from the artist

I think one of the reasons people are posting here in the first place is because they 'd like to share their opinions without hurting the artist. I actually tweeted a cartoonist once about something funny in their art (they even liked that tweet), but it was not something as major as proportions. This is a period of time when drastic changes can't be made to the artwork, and when the artist feels most attached to their work and more vulnerable to criticism. If I were to say something to them about the art, I 'd do it after the webtoon is over. I agree the way Sorami talked about the artwork in the first post was a bit harsh, but you were being too aggressive too.

I don't really like the facial proportions but I agree it makes the art unique. You can tell right away who created the artwork, like CLAMP's style is unique because their head/body proportions are weird (super small heads + super long limps) haha.
The only thing that annoys me every time is that Taemin blushes way too much. Heck, I'm a girl with fair skin and I can't even blush that much ╮(╯_╰)╭

I know you said y won't respond again but I do hope you read this.

Before I respond let me tell you two stories about myself.

The first event happened when I was about fourteen. I was always bad at English in school until I started high school where I was forced to write prose and poems and I actually got complimented a lot from my teachers and classmates. I guess some unknown talent had finally surfaced so I started writing a lot. Eventually I got brave enough to post some of my work online and while I got complimented, there was this one girl who just ripped my work apart. I was pretty devastated and while I didn't stop writing completely, from then on I couldn't see my work as good. I didn't like what I was writing so how could anyone else like it? One of the critiques I received was I wrote too much dialogue and not enough prose. Later I realised she was right but then I developed the opposite problem. Even now I struggle to find a balance. I don't intend on being a professional writer but that comment that really hurt me ended off helping me grow as a writer. I've lost a lot of my work since then due to losing laptops, flash drives and hard copies but the remaining works I have, occasionally I read them and sometimes I even laugh at myself because I thought I was good then but it's really cringeworthy. I like seeing who I was then and comparing it to who I am now and that's basically what I'll be doing for the rest of my life.

The second story happened when I was a bit older, around seventeen. I actually want to be a dentist so I got a temp job in a dental office as a dental assistant. I worked that job in the holidays between school and the first two times it was great but the next time, during my exit interview one of the critiques of my coworkers was I was a know-it-all and they couldn't teach me anything. I was too arrogant The next time I worked there, I decided to let them teach me and ask questions so guess what the next critique was? I acted too stupid like I knew nothing. (Sometimes you can't win for losing.) It left me confused for a long time and coupled with the other things that happened at work, I didn't even want to become a dentist thinking that those people might end up being my future coworkers.

I didn't think anything about those two incidents but now I'm realizing the part they played in me becoming who I am now. They both taught me that criticism can be pretty harsh but it's up to you to decide how to react to it. They also taught me the importance of being honest, outspoken and self-assured. Qualities I've always posses but have lost and regain throughout varies parts of my life. I know that I come off arrogant and preachy sometimes but the opposite doesn't work for me and I don't know how to be in the middle, I don't push people in the middle either. For me, it's always either-or; in my behavior and the reactions, so I just try to be candid and explain my positions and why I think that way.

I understand you watching your friend's experience shaped yours but for me living something similar to your friend's experience shaped me. There are a lot of people who have anxiety, especially in this stressful day and age but to me one day we'll be the oldest people and the leaders of the world. We have to find a way to be without losing ourselves or getting offended every time we're uncomfortable. There are more than 7 billion of us and millions of cultures so we have to find a way to disagree and express different opinions.

There were times I was rude too so I'm sorry too. I didn't post to have a whole long debate or a Dr. Phil moment. I just wanted to see if anyone else felt the same way I felt. Like I said I really do love the story, I read it all in one go and I can't wait until Monday. I hope this story gets finished because I'm invested and will be sad if it were to ever get cancelled.

In general, I didn't know we could actually talk to manga creators unless we went to comic-con or something so I guess I'll check out this feedback thing. :) Thank you for that.

This is now my last post.

You've stated yourself that you don't believe the mangaka will see this, but still proceed to argue that if the mangaka sees this it could effect their mentality. You make no sense and honestly the only one coming across arrogant is you as you've been literally saying that your opinion is somehow more important and that everyone else needs to stop stating theirs because they aren't artists even though in this scenario it wouldn't matter... i'm glad you're going to be gone from this comment section, you're so tiresome...

Lol, my point was that despite you saying exactly what you just brought up you're still here arguing with people. You say that there is no point in posting on this site because the mangaka won't see or respond to the criticism, yet you're still on here pleading your case to people on what you yourself admit to be a site where what is said doesn't matter. My point was that you're being hypocritical. You also stated that the person you were arguing with earlier was coming across as arrogant, which honestly is ridiculous as the only one looking down on other's opinions was you yourself on the grounds that you're a professional which doesn't hold any relevance whatsoever to the scenario. Please go away now, i'm losing my motivation to respond to you.

ikr? in all digital art manhwa Ive read, this has the best quality for me and it's true that it is harder to draw digitally than physically I know coz Ive done both XD and having a time limit is much harder becoz its not just a page but a whole chapter.
