FR...like is he just an asshole or what? I wanna know what happened? Why does he acts like that? I wanna know what's going on in his mind? TELL ME!!!
And then, it was revealed that he has trauma and people would dismiss it like your parents dismiss your childhood trauma.
When the authors do not give a backstory about the ML, the readers wants to get a backstory. When they get a backstory they complain that the author is just trying to justify the actions of the character by giving their backstory. For me I'd rather be able to get to know the characters backgrounds instead of just focusing on sx scenes.
