Bada's cousin at the first part of the games will always warned him to stay away from Bada due to him always talking nonsense (horror thing) to him, but Doha slowly realized that the cousin's behavior always changed in every games, and it always connected to him touching the cassette tape when they were in the car, and only Doha knew that.

It's like, if the NPC touched/kept the cassete tape, it will give some changes in the game. Not clear if it's actually adding the dangerous events or not, but seems like it has something to do with how Bada and Doha played the game.

Basically the cousin is a player like bada
But doha pulled out his cassette so his game wasn't saved and now he can't remember what happened kinda

This is going to be a lot so bare with me. He explained the cousin was also a player the whole time and the only reason he noticed and deduced that it was the cousin's tape he erased/took was because he learned from Bada that the character's traits/actions never changed over the 100+ games Bada played. So when the cousin's actions changed from that very first game to the second game it made Doha suspicious that something wasn't right and he had started to remember the information from his very first day becoming aware and putting it together with his observations from after inserting a tape. And he remembered in the first game before he had played any tapes (events of chapter 2/3) he noticed that the cousin made sure to keep the blue-haired characters tape in the van (this Doha deduced was so he always had a save point). But in the second game after Doha had inserted a tape, the cousin didn't try to get the tape from the blue-haired character at all (this is why that character started to remember bits and pieces each game because he was inserting the tape rather than the cousin taking it) he had also noticed that the cousin didn't go outside for a phone call like he had done the first game and insisted they should go to the haunted house instead in the second game (which shocked Bada). Bada being an open book made it clear everything had changed "script" wise and Bada assumed it was because of Doha becoming awake but Doha had figured the actual reason for the change by observing and putting together all the information Bada had given him that the biggest change in the game was the cousin. He was the reason for everything changing after that very first game from the get go completely. Starting with his "script" changing in the car to his "script" changing at dinner which caused a total shift in story. Realizing this he started to understand why the blue-haired NPC became semi aware and why the story had taken a 180 turn from what Bada had known, he deduced that the tape he could always find and the very first tape he inserted with the check on it (even though the tapes normally vanished) belonged to the cousin and that's why his character/Badas known story changed. And since he (Doha) had become awake using that tape he figured out that meant the cousin was always awake.

I tried explaining as best as I could, you can ask me a question if you don't understand certain parts of what I explained but I hope this helped semi

It wasn't explained from what I know so far but I do have a guess or two. He could of somehow been faking it to keep Bada unaware of him also being awake but then the question is how he would be doing that and my guess for that is Bada had just always assumed that the cousin was the first kill because he had witnessed it before (this probably being on purpose from the cousin if its the case) or he just assumed since the cousin was nowhere in sight that he had died first from a cliche and that was how it always went so he never actually looked into it. We know Bada gets too stuck in his head about how things HAVE to be and that's why he never actually notices things he's not looking for. The author has shown us that Bada is an unreliable narrator (ofc not on purpose from Bada) so from what we know the cousin wasn't the first kill everytime like Bada thought

And the time we saw him as the first kill in chapter 3 was the cousin doing it on purpose noticing Dohas strange behavior linking to Bada so he had to make sure he was the first kill as a precautionary measure in case something was up with Doha or just in case if Doha dragged Bada outside (not knowing this would be the day he loses all his data)
