I dont understand why authors keep going for this annoying, non logical, smoth brained aproach "TheY WiLl sOoN fOllOW ThE OriGinAL StoRy LinE", what story line are you talking about. The one you have clearly pulverised with your actions?

Its mind boggling for me because these characters are clearly living and interacting with these so called story characters, and very obviously they are making decisions, and their very presence are affecting the original story, so wtf are they on about.
It doesn't make sens because then you are denying your very own existence and everyone elses and your denying every action you have taken up untill that point, even breating, which isn't something that can be true juat because you chose to "foLlOW tHe OriGinAl StoRy"

I get that people will argue and say but she is inside a novel she read and its normal for people to not find it real and have such reactions and bla bla bla, but please her me out. They're living in that world the same way we are in this one, its normal to be confused but years go by and they still stick to this smoth brain aproach.

I love it when the story has realistic aproaches to it, and i think its crutial that the characters react in realistic ways to the plot development. Just because you want to create insecurities and pitfalls for the MC which they have to overcome and get over you cant use whatever tool seems the easiest. Everything being a story and that she doesn't have a place there is the weakest way to go about it, the princ didnt die, the purple haired magican meet his family earlier, a panacea was created, a dragon exists, i think this just proves enough that you are wrong and that the option to "foLlOW tHe OriGinAl StoRy" is out the window.

I wrote a bit too much but i guess it just shows how feed up I am with this trope of "foLlOW tHe OriGinAl StoRy" and of how nonsensical it is (/´△`\)

Took the words from my mouth! Like how is it possible that authours are able to make everyone multifaceted while having the main character appear one dimensional..... I would perhaps understand if the existence of the MC has not affected major events/turning points of the 'original, because then there would be proof that some things can't be changed thus a possibility of the the story being unchanged has its grounds.

The only manga I believe 'following the original' was done brilliantly is in "Jishou Akuyaku Reijou na Konyakusha no Kansatsu Kiroku" where it wasn't even the transmigrator doing the changes, thus her not knowing what had changed behind the scenes.

When MCs think the people around them, whom they have lived with for years, and even recognising that they aren't acting the same as in the 'original', they should be reminded on how insulting it is for them to think so shallowly of the people whom they claim to love. It's so insulting to stick with your beliefs from what you read rather than the experiences you have gotten first hand (〜 ̄△ ̄)〜

    Omg I couldn’t agree more!
I mean, at this point we don’t even really know what the “original story” was. We know more about her actual life from her past life than we do about what goes on in the “original.”
Perhaps I forgot after all this time about what the original was even about but for her to suddenly spin off and use that annoys me. Plus, for someone who knows what happens in the novel or whatever, she shows a lack of knowledge for the overall setting of the novel, like about anything… idk in the beginning it seemed like it was a good read but now it’s become so flat…
