ML's brother isn't the only one tho. The cause can because of misunderstanding, but Ido did hurt Sejin. He didn't properly check to confirm his misunderstanding either. Also, small things like giving Sejin not good room (further in the back of the house) when he first move in just telling Sejin how he's not that welcome. Only in this 2nd life Sejin has a proper room and all to his preference, because in the 1st life he asked for it yet Ido called him ridiculous to 'demands' such thing.
