    Yeah
In fact Ivy is underpowered protagonist
And she a child, she not even a pre-teen. adults helping a child that travels alone should be a priority in all cases
She doesn’t even use her past life as Japanese person much because it’s blurry and she doesn’t remember much about it (she only uses it to make better food for herself to keep herself healthy)

The portrayal of her being a child acting an appropriate age is actually nice. She has very vague memories of her past life but it's treated like passing information rather than an actual life lived which explains why her childishness makes sense. Coz, you know, she IS a child. A mature one not because of a past life but because she had to grow up and take responsibility of herself coz her parents/village were horrendous people.

The fact that you say she's overpowered makes me think you just don't like the setup, period. As of now, we don't even know why the slime and the cat like her. Could be her starless constitution that make them drawn to her.

As for her survival instincts, the old lady helped her a great deal in learning a lot of how to survive coz they both knew she wouldn't live long in that village. Her cooking? Again, passing info from her past. Other than that? There really isn't anything to make her mary sue tho.

Sorry. Nope you didn't say she was overpowered. You just said she was a Mary Sue. I stand corrected.

I don't think she's mary sue though, she doesn't really look at the world in rainbow and flowers, and she's not that over powered
