I get both sides honestly

It’s obvious that Garam went through some sort of trauma from his first relationship because he doesn’t even want to talk about it. Jaehyuk’s feelings are also valid because how is he supposed to know if this relationship isn’t one side in a romantic sense.
It’s about building trust and patience, Jaehyuk proved that he can also be emotionally supportive. However, it’s clear that it’s a really touchy subject for Garam and has ruin his way of how to be affectionate, to a point that he can’t even express words like “I like you” ( I can relate lol) but yeah Garam does need to talk it out.

It's obvious for us but not for Jaehyuk.

Garams behaviour towards Jaehyuk would technically make perfect sense even without him having some sort of trauma simply just bc of how Jaehyuk treated him before the confession, although if there was no prior trauma then him acting like this and genuinely returning Jaehyuks feelings would make no sense.

Without knowing about Garams trauma, the conclusion of Garam still thinking of Jaehyuk as a fuck buddy rather than a boyfriend is a valid and the most likely conclusion, even if in this case it's wrong and Garam is genuinely in love.

Not wanting to date anyone ever again after a past relationship can be caused by either having been too deeply in love (Jaehyuks conclusion) or having gotten traumatized by awful experiences during the relationship (Garams actually experience) so again, from this bit of info it's not obvious at all.

And yes, the "too deeply in love to love again" after a relationship is over is something that really does happen to people. My dad for example was so deeply in love with my mom that it took over 10 YEARS after their divorce for him to be able to fall in love with someone again

I agree. I guess it does make sense that Jaehyuk is a bit oblivious on how to go about it considering this is technically his first relationship that’s not just physical but rather emotional. So everything is new to him, relationships are complicated and you can’t expect your partner to always tell you everything.

I legit wanted to smack Jaehyuk through the screen when he decided not to ask about Garams ex bc it would've prevented so many misunderstandings if Jaehyuk knew that Garam not dating anyone anymore was because of how nasty his ex was.

Like I can understand Jaehyuk being scared of his assumptions being confirmed but him being so close to finding out about Garams trauma and also having evolved into this extremely supportive and loving boyfriend just to only get the wrong puzzle pieces that paint a different picture and created a giant misunderstanding felt like such a slap in the face

But I guess Garam has to get his character development the same way Jaehyuk did ╥﹏╥
