I don't really think he's being dramatic at all tbh, he's been trying to be understanding while Garam keeps pushing him away everytimes he utter a single thing about how he feels about him. We know why he's reacting like that but to Jaehyuk, and anyone in that position, it's just hurtful, and it's even more hurtful when it keeps happening with zero explanation.

at first Garams behaviour made sense from Jaehyuks POV bc of how their relationship started and what happened prior to it, but now they're past that point. They've now reached a point were Garams behaviour can't be explained with Jaehyuks past shit show anymore bc if that was any bit related to Garam still acting like this then it'd make no sense for Garam to agree to date Jaehyuk to begin with.
Of course Garams behaviour comes from his oast trauma but Jaehyuk doesn't know there is a trauma to begin with, on the contrary he actually even thinks Garam struggling so much to move on was just him being too deeply in love with makes Garams slow pace in their relationship hurt Jaehyuk even more
He's still being dramatic about the ex thingy, though. Also, Garam can explain it at his own pace...Their relationship is just starting, it's okay for Garam to take time about this thing.
He's not dramatic about that either. He doesn't know that Garam got traumatized during his past relationship so from Jaehyuks perspective he just found out that his very distant boyfriend, that hated him but loved his dick during their fuck buddy time, has been unable to get over his ex for years to the point that his bestie was genuinely surprised that he's dating someone again.
It makes sense for it to bother Jaehyuk, and he still tried not to show it and to tell himself he's being unreasonable until Garam straight up flinched away from Jaehyuk simply just expressing his love.

You'd flinch away when a boyfriend or girlfriend you truly love and have been sexually extremely active with for MONTHS and have already kissed with multiple times, would kiss you after setting the mood for the kiss with a cheesy lovey dovey line?
If we just started dating, then yes. Casually hooking up and dating are two different things. Both of them doesn't have a complete understanding of each other yet and it's fine. If Garam isn't ready then he isn't. If that would make jaehyuk back down, then it's on him. They're reacting based on experience and it's alright to feel taken aback to something new to them, you know?? As someone who never knew love that way, of course I would be taken aback and same goes for Garam.
He's dramatic as hell but valid in a sense...I hope the ex would show up just so jaehyuk could beat him up
