Hmm I think that happened in the 'past future' and because he was back to the past, it's now like everyone wasn't aware of it as it didn't happen yet and he has the candies because he was given the chance to change paths and be saved once. I dunno that's what I understand here.
If I'm not he was trying to save a child from drowning. I think he died twice because he hit his head was when he was talking to pado in the hotel but woke up fine with the star candy. I don't remember who that was that gave him the candy but she's tied to haeil and pado.
My question is, how does haeil drowning fit in this timeline, cause it seems it’s literally not mentioned so is it treated as if it never happened?
Also y’all gotta get that Haeil hurt pado by basically calling him a liar and saying he went behind his back for some reason, and now he is trying desperately to get back what they had (they probably dated before given Haeil knows how pado kissed in the past). So it makes sense for him to be a pathetic loser now (his last dying thought was literally trying to make things right w pado ) and pado is loving it, he probably is just not ready to open up to him yet.
