I’m thinking they are twins and that’s why Taeha was neglected. There’s this myth in some cultures about twins being bad luck and I can imagine if you’re from a chaebol family the fight for succession between twins could be a possibility since the company is usually inherited by the oldest child.
That's a good theory but since I saw the word "eldest son" I thought there's a gap and that maybe they're not twins and just prolly don't have the same mother type shit

With the twin theory tho - I think they might still consider the first born twin as the eldest, instead of treating them like they’re the same age. So growing up the first twin would’ve been treated better because they would be the one inheriting the company. The dad would’ve had to take him under his wing basically while Taeha got no attention. But now it’s seeming like the Dad would’ve rather had Taeha instead of the brother because he seems quite immature and reckless compared to Taeha.

Honestly, unless they're twins I can understand [which is not the case] but the only way we can tell who's who is by the earrings, mole and their demeanor which isn't much at all
