yeah i agree. it 100% was that he wanted a cigarette lmao the whole point of that scene was that it was in nakamura's head bc it is very misleading when u only hear the dialogue, whereas we can see that he was gesturing for a cig. the other scenes like the "if u were a girl that would've been cute" were so suspicious...

Guys, what if the story isn't just about Nakamura's self discovery as a teenager and romance but also about saving his crush from getting groom? (I'm coping) I also think what if the interactions between his crush and sensei are all just in Nakamura's head (I'm coping again).
But seriously I hope the author won't ruin the story by making it teacher x student, I literally came here for Nakamura and how he'll navigate his teenage life and romace with his crush (I'm not even wishing for them to be the end game since I view this as life experiences of Nakamura) not for teacher x student trope. But if ever the mangaka will touch upon that subject I hope they'll execute it well and does not justify that what the teacher's doing is okay and right (if he really did and all of this is just a big misunderstanding since that kinda thing is also popular with other romace story).
