I haven’t been keeping up so this is an assumption: Cirrus may think Skylar is doing it out of guilt? In his mind doesn’t deserve Skylar and he’s come to terms to letting him go for good
Another thing is his mental health, everything that happened during and post breakup completely tore him down. He believes people are better off without him in their lives.
