I would end up with trust issues for life if I were him. (I'm only on chapter 60) He had so much stress piled on and trust issues to begin with that he only talked to a bird when he felt he was well and truly alone with it. Then that bird turns out to be human. (⊙…⊙ ) I would never speak my thoughts to a single creature again if I were him. Poor dude.
