I agree that the storytelling could use some polishing and there's not much diversity in the group, but the concept is so fresh and so many interesting events happen. There's a big plot going on as well on top of seeing MC grows.
Even though there are only girls, it's not a bad thing.. there are soooo many stories with just guys and it's so tiring. I hope they would give more background stories, personalities, skills, and roles to these female characters, but so far the author didn't make them a brainless idiots who are just there to fan service or satisfy the author's self-insert fantasy or whatever.
