I think it was more like to atone for his sins in a way. Like burning the root of his obsession in his past life. At least that I think? Im not entirely sure either but that was the vibe i got from it
i believe it was a way to protect hyoun and allow himself to hide, give him freedom from humanity’s aggression and or dependence. Hyoun did express how he hated humans and only wanted to wait for Mc.
So now we know all info about hyo un is so limited because of the brother. But why did he want to burn the books about the dragon in his past life? Was that before he regretted how he went about things or that he wanted to make it harder for taehyuk learn about hyo un when he's reborn?
