The story is ok, kinda solid. Not bad at all, but not groundbreaking. I feel that my main complain are the jumps between past and present. They felt really weird, also made me feel confused about the characters. They established them in the present but then tried to flesh them out through flashbacks, but those flashbacks were intermittent and to me it kinda killed whatever feelings I would have had for certain reveals.
Like when I found out they actually dated and it wasn't just a crush or that they had kissed before. I was more confused than surprised.
The other thing I don't like is the lack of payoff. To begin with, I honestly got so confused amidst the story I forgot his reason to fight with the guy and for them to part. Then when they got together it felt so flat because I spent all the manga trying to figure out what to feel about the characters and what defined them. And it also didn't help that all the times the manga spent in the present their relationship got kinda off to a good start from the moment they joined the company. If it weren't for the flashbacks there would be no turmoil. They actually kinda fixed it really fast so I never got a "will they/won't they" feeling.
Lastly aside from the few highschool scenes I think the romance was too behind everything else. It felt realistic, I'll give you that, but after they got together they needed more scenes. As much as I find the teacher hot, his scenes and the other guy's are kinda meaningless lol and take up scenes that could've been better used to expand the main couple
