This is a genuine question, how exactly is Jo pulling him down? Especially when Jo is the one who open Ian eyes on several occasions regarding his mindset. I mean even with his jealousy and insecurities, I just don't see it since he reconizes his most of his mistakes and apologize for it. Only time I I can think of is when he intervened with Ian and tj but that's not really holding/pulling Ian character down persay.

No. Ian is not dragging Jo. Jo is the only one who purposely putting himself there because it's his choice due to wanting to stay with Ian. Jo knows the consequences (tho not the extent of them) and still prefers to be with Ian. Do not blame Ian for dragging him when Ian is not doing that at all. Even Jo said Ian shouldnt blame himself for his (jo) own actions. This is coming from a Jo stan fyi.

Yes, I would have assumed you're a Jo stan without you separately mentioning it. XD
As you said it yourself, Jo is aware of the consequences but did not foresee their possible disastrous extent. Now Ian is not consciously dragging Jo. It is more a side effect of their relationship as in Jo getting more and more involved as a byproduct of them depending said relationship.
I don't hate any of the characters (though I saw someone else exploding already in this thread again. :,D). It is my personal opinion.

Yes I agree with that ,Jo starting to get involved with a life that Ian is trying to run away from kinda seems like he will in the near future somehow drag him down, imo Ian should just stay alone to just heal and move on with life bcoz one way or another NOW both Jo and TJ are a part of the sand even if one is voluntarily in the sand and other is involuntarily
Nah I feel like Ian should end up alone and with no one , I think that's the best and safest option, he would heal and start a new life cuz in some way Joe is also holding him back imo. Both Joe and TJ are wet sand that keep pulling him down from my perspective
