It was so good. It’s worth a read imo. You won’t regret anything. I was SO SCARED for them at every chapter, sat there clutching my pearls. My heart was aching for them. -MAJOR SPOILER- I CRIED WHEN THE MOM DIED AND I CRIED ABOUT HER LIFE STORY. IM SO HAPPY THEY SURVIVED AND ARE NOW HAPPY TOGETHER IN SAFETY. Very satisfactory. They are both so adorable and the affection they share is so cute. Kinda wish ML would call MC by name or call him husband by now but whatever. It’s not a big deal. The story wasn’t excessively tragic. Very heartfelt and sad at times, but not straight up depressing. Especially when compared to other torturous historical stories.

About the secondary lovelorn ML…. If you could call him that. The fucced up brother. Even though ultimately he did assault the MC as I feared, it was after a few failed attempts and 80+ chapters so, I hate to say it, but I was kind of mentally prepared by then so to speak. I was so angry that it did happen after all, and that it was so long to scroll through. It really hurt my heart and soul. I had to skip it. I felt so disgusted and it kinda felt like weird fan service for those who liked the secondary ML for whatever reason. But nah. Make no mistake he is DISGUSTEN.
