In the manga the pairing is weird because she is so immature and doesn't treat him as an equal, but that's it. When characters look down on their romantic pair it's not the worst thing ever just annoying.
In the novel, and likely in future chapters of the manga, it's gross because he's a grown adult, and she's a little kid. Not only is she the youngest dragon, it's described as her peer Dragons slightly older than her playing in their cribs still. She's 200+ but in the dragon lifespan she's a disturbingly young kid.
That's not what I've asked though.
Regarding what you just replied and what I've told previously, they're NOT YET a couple. It's just that people talked about them being endgame and all in the comments. But until the recent chapters, they're still not there. That's why I've asked, out of curiousity, how in the hell could you think of them ending up as a couple as gross? You talk about "getting past this for the great plot" when them being an item is beneficial for the said "great plot".
And also, I already finished reading the novel twice . Hence the question. Since pretty much in the future of Sejun, him being in a relationship with Aileen is not the worst or annoying thing that would happen.
I get your point... but that's weird af. I mean it about the dragons and their aging.
Because if they were playing on their cribs that'd make them hatchlings... and definitely not managing a tower already. There are many sources of dragon lore but most western dragons being able to shape-shift comes from dungeon and dragons. And considering that as source:
Classificationage human equivalent:
Young16-256 - 10
Juvenile26-5010 - 15
Young Adult50-10015 - 20
Adult101-20020 - 30
Mature Adult201-40030 - 40
Even if you consider some other kind of source where dragons live for 10k+ years it would still be weird to consider her as a young kid because of her duty as a manager and responsibilities. The tower is not a toy for her to play with right? Personally I'd like to think of her as an adult dragon thats currently stuck in a young adult form because her dragon heart can't support her physical growth. I do hope she's able to grow before meeting Sejun. And It's at least better than having the others around him as love interests. I'd hate if it was one of the bees, bunnies or that tree. Maybe one of the woves/kobold or minotaurs... but I still think she's the best option among them.
Honestly, as long as her human form is not a loli or young teen (looking like a 15-16yo) I'm already happy. Otherwise that will be the moment I drop this...
Yes the romance plot between adult Sejun and the immature youngest dragon Aileen is gross, but we can't convince the author to change. We have to either look past this for the great plot, or abandon this entirely. If it helps Aileen gets more mature in future chapters.
