thank you again also, I will confirm your suspicion that this will be toxic if it helps you to decided early on if you wish to expose yourself to that kind of story. I haven't spoiled the whole story for myself because I am also trying to enjoy the mahwa as I translate it, but from what I have heard from Korean readers of the novel, the ML is not even remotely kind to the MC until much much much later in the story.
