Nephytis is quite literally drowning in guilt, because, as explained in the chapters, being the goddess of peace, Nephytis hates how she was the causation of their relationships crumbling apart.
She had a baby (Anubis) with Osiris because she wanted to make Seth happy. It didn’t have anything to do with Isis. In fact, if Nephytis did love Isis, she’d never have slept with Osiris in the first place. She’s just guilty as hell.

What if, the one Nephytis love is Isis, but since she cant have Isis, she settle for her seed,/child. And when she think that the baby she carrying is Isis child, its actually made from Seth and Osiris seed. Osiris created Anubis from Seth and his seed so that he can have something to connect him self with Seth. (づ￣ ³￣)づ. So Nephytis is dying with guilt as she was the one to Osiris her power of life. She betrayed her Husband and her son. And she hurt the one she love Isisლ(´ڡ`ლ)
This just what if, because I recently observe how Nephytis takes care of Isis. For someone who throw his husband and stuff. She taking care of her, very preciously
