Thank u! Honestly, no one ever mentioned that so I thought I was the only one. Her “kindness” is to the point of rather than her being a victim, her helping the perpetrators. It’s absurd. It seems like author tried to portray her as some kind of saint, but she’s just unbearable in my opinion. Also, I don’t get why her forgiving those parents must also mean ML forgiving their neglect. Yeah, I just don’t like how the story ended. Edith is not as good of a person as author tries to potray her to be. So I really hope it changes in the manhwa
100% agreed. It’s not for me at all either. She tried to save her any chance she got, Lize would go unpunished if she could’ve helped it. I don’t understand why ML had to forgive his family just like that either, them playing the role of good grandparents was very ironic and bitter to me. I didn’t like the ending at all. Edith was just not it. I really hope manhwa changes that
Novel has a lot of better shown aspects, etc. However, I wasn’t a big fan of Edith in the novel, so if they stop making her a self-righteous saint in the manhwa (and give Cliff what he deserves) then I’m all for it. I will like this version better. Novel was too forgiving and Edith was “kind” to the point of becoming an enabler. She wasn’t their only victim, she had no right to rid them of consequences they should’ve paid for their crimes. And Cliff is in no way qualified to lead people. Sorry not sorry, unpopular opinion, but Edith in the novel was just not great.
